The Maritime Capacity Alliance (MCA) is a public-private cooperation of partners within the maritime and logistics domain. By joining forces, we believe we can make a difference on the way to a cleaner and safer society. We share knowledge, personnel and materiel and we innovate together. And through our elaborate, collective network we are able to find a solution for every problem. Putting the collective interest first when it comes down to it, and unifying our distinctive qualities, makes all the difference.<\/p>

We, at MCA, do not think in terms of business cases, but of value cases: we enhance each other whenever we can and we increase each other\u2019s value. Together we develop knowledge and catch personnel shortages. And with joint exercises we ensure that we are ready for the unpredictable. Through public-private cooperation, we stand together. Every time it is in the interest of the Netherlands. business cases<\/em>, maar van value cases<\/em>: we versterken elkaar waar we kunnen en vergroten elkaars waarde. The Maritime Capacity Alliance has emerged in 2017 as one of the civil-military partnerships in the Total Force strategy of the Dutch Ministry of Defence. The aim of this strategy was the enhancement of organisational resilience and the innovative climate of Defence through strategic cooperation with the business community, civil society organisations, knowledge institutes and public organisations. Areas of interest were strengthening maritime transport, logistics and training capacity, as well as the reciprocal deployment of people and resources with the business community. As several organisations joined hands to support the armed forces with guaranteed strategic sea transport capacity, logistical support, national security and social resilience, the results grew, leading to the foundation of a Maritime Capacity Alliance between several private companies. Partners are able to train, prepare through joint exercises, recruit personnel, develop knowledge and skills and respond to incidents together. Thus reinforcing each other and adding value to each other, all bringing in specific expertise. In this cooperation, the usual business case has grown into a true value case.<\/p>

In light of the latest geopolitical challenges, the Maritime Capacity Alliance hopes to grow further as an agile and future-proof collective for the Dutch armed forces, NATO and EU partners. Furthermore, in 2023 a new project on enhancing security at the North Sea has been launched in co-creation with the Netherlands Coastguard.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Over 75 students, an impressive hall at the port of Rotterdam, 3 guest speakers, and 2 patrol boats to explore: the information afternoon organized by Maritime Capacity Alliance (MCA) was a success.<\/strong>
\nOn Wednesday, June 5th, the MCA team was ready to inspire students from, among others, STC Rotterdam for an entire afternoon. What opportunities will there be in the maritime world after my studies? Where can I intern? What jobs are available and how do I approach this? Various guest speakers from the Coast Guard, the Government Shipping Company and Rijkswaterstaat enthusiastically spoke about their important roles in the safety and infrastructure of the Netherlands and the many career opportunities. The students were presented with a wide range of options within different sectors and got a real behind-the-scenes look through live videos. This was further enhanced by a visit to two patrol boats, where they could have a chat with the crew. The students' enthusiasm was high, making the afternoon more than successful!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
